| This past weekend I had my 25th Penguin Bday Bash @ Oz a Korean BBQ place! It was yummy food! I <3 Korean food and I luv tempura ice cream! Me and the Girls!I really needed a break from all the stresses I've been going through especially with my injury. Everyone made me feel so happy and definitely made my bday more memorable! Then the restaurant servers all came around our tables with a fake candle cake that said "November" and an ice cream with pretty sprinkles. Then the whoke staff and my peeps all sang "Happy Birthday" to me. How cute and sweet! I think I was blushing
YUMMY! Making my birthday wish... Andrew & Me So...Did my bday wish come true? Of course my bday wish came true! Sharing my bday with all of my friends and eating yummy Korean BBQ! What more could a girl ask for? Thanks to all my friends that made my bday special...Especially Matt who came from San Jose, Kimmie & G for making it out safely from SBing, my mentee Peggy for coming out despite the age gap! Enjoy the collage of pix!

2006 was an unpredictable year that seemed to have a bit of everything--both good and bad times. As I reflect back on the later half of the year I wonder what’s to be in store for 2007…
| This Monday is a very special month. It’s my Ba-Ba’s 80th birthday this month!!! YuP! Yup! My Ba-Ba does so much for me that I often take him for granted. Reflecting back on all the sweet things he did for me. He'd always make sure I ate and had enough food to eat. He doesn't know how to cook much, so his only dish that he can make is Chinese noodles, which I always luv and can't resist each time he offers it to me. He'll give me the larger portion because he's worried that I don't eat much even though I know he's starving. When I tell him I'm out studying late at school, or out late with my friends, he always calls me to make sure I'm alright and safe. He's my alarm clock each workday to ensure I get up on time for work. He volunteers at the Sheriff and Police center each week to give back to the community. He's an active member of his VFW affiliation for the veterans. He's the honor guard commander of his squad where he does honor firings for his fellow veterans that pass away despite the lack of volunteers- he always is willing and able to step up when no one else cares. He combated cancer and remains in good health. He's most definitely one of my heros that I truly honor and respect! To comemorate my dad, my family and I celebrated his upcoming 80th birthday with a big Kim family dinner at China Buffet. It was so nice to see everyone again despite everyone’s busy schedules with kids and spouses. I was really happy that everyone could make it out for my Ba-Ba. My Ba-Ba…He’s so young and active for his age! I was even more happy to see my niece and my two nephews. They’re growing up so fast!! I can still remember them when they were born...lil tiny babies with hardly any hair on their heads. Now they have a head full of hair, can eat solid foods, throw fits, and try to laugh/smile to get their way.
My cute niece, Marissa! Couldn’t that cute face just get away with anything? My active nephew Daulton and my older brother, (his daddy) It was always good to see my brother-n-law and my sister Sharon. I always treasure the times I get to spend with my sister. They sure have big appetites. They just had lunch at a Japanese buffet and now dinner at a Chinese buffet! Hau & Sharon I was even more shocked to see my other older brother because he had cut his long ponytail and had a clean shaved face. Before, he used to look all gangsta with long hair and a go-tee. He decided to go conservative as he’s trying to apply for a promotion within his workplace. I like the clean look it’s more mature and suits him best.
Shawn, Marissa, & My Sister-n-Law Rosie I like this pix the most because Marissa looks squished! HAPPY 80TH BIRTHDAY BA-BA!!!
| This past weekend I went to Sun Diego, but for some reason it seems everytime I visit the beautiful city, it’s more like Ran Diego city . Last time in March, it was hailing and thunderstorms the only time of the year that it every rains in SD is whenever I come to visit. I must be bad luck or something…I went to visit my friend Rob to attend his annual company party for the company he works for Qualcomm. The theme was “Night of Illusions.” They had a bunch of magicians performing magic tricks and a buffet of food. I'm impressed with magicians and they're tricks. There was this one trick one of the magicians performed where he always drew this card I wrote my name on. It was funny, each time he pulled out the card it was my name! I get so excited whenever I see my name I started clapping...I think I was the only one clapping! LOL
Rob & I - There was pplz dancing with fire flames in the background if you look closely and squint I was obviously working it well that night…cuz all these guys wanted to get close to me… J/K They're Rob’s fellow engineer homies and ME…They were a fun bunch of guys My lil visit was brief but very, very “sw33t”…we went to a gelatto place in downtown area. Sooo good! I wish they had gelatto shops here in SacToWn...Then ended my trip to visit my favorite dessert place ever...
Extraordinary Dessert!!! Yummy in my tummy! I was so psyched I forgot we didn’t eat dinner! Look how puuurrrttty it is.... I forget the exact name of the cake but it was like a chocolate mouse truffle cake- SoOooO D-licious! I miss SD even though I think the city doesn't like me with the rainy weather each visit...It's so beautiful and they have Extraordinary...LOL Thanks Rob for letting me have some fun this weekend and for your hospitality! A big thanks to Kelly for taking me out to Boba! I my carmel snowbubbles!!! Too bad they didn't have the baby tapioca!
| I went to the California State Fair this year about 3 times already. Once with my girlfriends Jax, Jean, and Frank to see Boyz II Men in concert. How lovely it was to see a concert! It’s been yearrrsss!!! I miss concerts. I forgot how much fun they were. We got pretty close seats too! Boyz II Men: Singing Oldies but Goodies… My favorite songs they sang: Motownphilly and A Song for Mama. Even after all the years they've been out of the biz...they still got it! They're going to come out with a new CD compiling modernized remixes of old tunes and some new stuff. Looking forward to that... The second time I went was to see these wicked kewl Christian alternative band… LIFEHOUSE!
MORE KEWLNESS… MORE KEWLNESS WITH SPECIAL LIGHTING EFFECTS… The sweet thing about the concert was that we got the VIP treatment. Originally we sat on the grass seats way in the noseblead section. To sit up near the front of the stage, you needed to purchase separate tickets in addition to the fair ones which were an additional $20-30 depending on where you were seating. Somehow when the admission guy saw how cute I was, he told me and my friends to move up to the front--for FREE! That was a sweet deal! TIP: to get your way next time, work your magic by smiling. Then my gang of friends and I went to see the different educational exhibits to get more educated on the different cities and counties in California and also because it was too hot to be outside when we first got there. The exhibits had nice AC. Here’s a pix of a kewl waterfall overlaying the state of California. How puurrrttyy isn’t it? Then we learned about agriculture… My friend Vince, had gotten so hungry that he decided to eat the display of the corn made out of oil containers LOL My favorite of all the exhibits was the Hall of Heroes because it was so kewl they had the original bat mobile from the 70s… To the Batmobile!!! Then I got to see a huge Batman monument made out of LEGOS!!! Everything about the whole structure was made out of lego blocks. Krazzinnnesss!
I feel so small next to Batman! What a strange pose Batman is doing… Then this hot guy named Superman was trying to hit on me and asked me for my digits. I told him I only liked guys in uniform so then he busted out in this red cape and tights uniform and posed next to me… He kinda looks like the real Superman…What do you think? For dinner, I had my first ever corndog! Those things are nasty! I like cornbread muffins, but this corndog was the worst I’ve ever tasted! Live and learn!
No more corndogs for me! The third time around is charm! I went to the fair once again for my Mom's birthday. She desperately wanted to see the Village People in concert and I thought I'd be a good daughter and support her since no one had an interest to see them perform. I was even reluctant, but I'm glad I went as they were actually really entertaining and so lively. Everyone got into it on their last song when they performed Y-M-C-A!!! Sorry, no pix to post to represent them. It was kewl they even taught is the appropriate way to do the YMCA arm movements. Apparently there's a "specific" way to do the arm motions. Who would've thought? All in all, no matter how many times I went to the fair, I still didn't see everything and I might go again tomarrow with my girlfriend since I still have tickets and haven't quite seen everything. Also, I want to win this Curious George stuffed animal that's so cute!
